10/10 Pool Bar Rooftop – Novotel Suites Yogyakarta Malioboro

10/10 Pool Bar takes up the roof of Novotel Suites Yogyakarta Malioboro, on the 10th floor of the hotel at the top of Jalan Malioboro. It calls itself the highest rooftop bar in the Malioboro area, and the open deck wraps around an infinity pool with a 360-degree view: the old city and the shopping streets below, and on a clear evening the volcanic peaks of Merapi, Merbabu, Sindoro and Sumbing on the horizon.

The bar mixes signature cocktails, mocktails and fresh juices, with beer, wine and spirits, and food comes from the hotel kitchen, running from Indonesian dishes to burgers and sharing platters. There is a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, sun loungers and beanbags on the lawn, and a curated playlist on most nights, with live music from Wednesday to Friday evenings.

It is at its best around sunset, when the light turns the mountains blue and Malioboro starts to glow below. The bar is 21+, and it makes an easy stop after an afternoon on Malioboro, just a few steps from the street.
