Botan Bar & Dine

Botan sits on the ninth floor of Meritel Hanoi on Hang Bong Street, at the western edge of the Old Quarter. The terrace faces west, so the sun goes down in front of you, and the space is full of plants, string lights and wrought-iron tables. It opens at 2:30pm and stays open until midnight.

Cocktails are the focus. The house list includes Night Jasmine, Lady Trieu, Basil Daiquiri, Spicy Neighbor and Emerald Lagoon, alongside wine and a dining menu. The bar holds regular movie screenings and has live jazz on some nights. On TripAdvisor it has a near-perfect rating and many reviews, with staff named often.

The venue takes private parties of up to 60 and accepts bookings through its website or WhatsApp. It suits couples and small groups who want a calmer alternative to the busier Old Quarter rooftops.
