Higher Ground

Higher Ground is a rooftop bar and diner on level 4 of a shophouse at 64C Boat Quay, run by Thugshop, the team behind Tuff Club and MDLR. The terrace looks along the Singapore River to the Fullerton, the CBD towers and, on the right nights, the Marina Bay fireworks.

Food centres on handmade sourdough pizzas and bar bites such as eggplant hummus with chips, paired with natural wines, craft beers and cocktails. Inside is a dim, wood-panelled room with a long bar for when the weather turns.

It is a relaxed, unpretentious alternative to the big hotel sky bars, open Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm to midnight. The whole venue can be hired for private events; call ahead for larger groups.
