Lighthouse Sky Bar crowns La Siesta Premium Hang Be, a boutique hotel on one of the Old Quarter's busiest streets. It is built like a boat moored across two roof terraces. The 'bow' looks down on Hang Be Street, the 'stern' holds the bar and faces the Red River, and a raised 'bridge' of glass, metal and wood sits above. A six-metre red-and-white lighthouse flashes at night.
Planting softens the black, grey and cream palette, and chill-out music plays in the background. Reviewers praise the bartenders for steering guests towards Vietnamese gins and custom drinks, and say happy hour is good value. It is part of the same group as Moonlight Sky Bar on Ma May.
It holds up to 200 people and opens from 5pm to midnight. The hotel suggests booking for sunset. It suits couples and small groups who want a view over Old Quarter roofs without leaving the centre.
