Pool Terrace & Bar – Fairmont Hanoi

Fairmont Hanoi is a new hotel on Tran Nguyen Han in the French Quarter, and the hotel calls its rooftop Pool Terrace & Bar the city's newest rooftop bar. The pool is for hotel guests only, but from 5pm the terrace and bar are open to everyone, with views over the Hoan Kiem skyline at golden hour.

The look is Mediterranean: blue-and-white striped sofas, potted palms and scalloped parasols. The mixology team leans on spritzes and cocktails that use Vietnamese herbs and tropical fruit, and there are wines, champagne and local craft beer. Drinks are listed at around 350,000–540,000 VND. Food is light and coastal in style, with some grill dishes.

Live DJ sets and events run at weekends. The dress code is smart casual and booking is advised on weekend nights. It is a good choice before dinner in the French Quarter.
