Popinjays crowns The Murray, the Niccolo hotel set inside a converted 1960s government building on Cotton Tree Drive, between Central and Admiralty. On the 26th floor, a glass-walled dining room opens onto a wraparound terrace that the hotel calls one of the largest rooftop terraces in Hong Kong, with views across the skyscrapers of Central and back towards the green slopes of the Peak.
The kitchen is Italian, and the bar backs it up with spritzes and artisanal spirits; an aperitivo hour runs daily from 3pm to 5pm. A Dom Pérignon bar serves champagne with caviar and seafood crudo, and weekend brunches are a long, social affair.
The bar is open from 3pm to midnight Sunday to Thursday and until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Book a terrace table through TableCheck, particularly for sunset or weekend brunch.
