Red Sugar – Kerry Hotel

A seventh-floor bar on Kerry Hotel's harbourfront with a 270-degree terrace, low over the water and facing the island skyline.
Red Sugar – Kerry Hotel

Red Sugar is the bar of Kerry Hotel, the Shangri-La group's hotel on the Hung Hom Bay waterfront in Kowloon. It is only on level 7, but because the hotel sits right on the harbour edge, its 270-degree wraparound terrace looks straight across Victoria Harbour to the skyline of Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and North Point, with nothing in between. Inside is an industrial-style lounge of brick, leather armchairs and tall windows.

Cocktails draw on Scandinavian mixology techniques, and a Cantonese-inspired cocktail menu runs through 2026, alongside Moutai cocktails and bar snacks. Live music plays in the evenings, and a happy hour runs daily from 4pm to 8pm.

Opening hours are 4pm to midnight Sunday to Thursday and 4pm to 1am on Fridays, Saturdays and holiday eves. Dress is casual. Under-18s are allowed on the terrace but not indoors, and the terrace is the only place where smoking is permitted.
