Satellite Restaurant & Bar – Lexis Suites Penang

Satellite is the bar on the highest level of Lexis Suites Penang, the beachfront resort at Teluk Kumbar on the island's quiet southern coast, past the airport at Bayan Lepas. On the 25th floor, it looks out over the sea and the coastline through a wall of glass, and on a clear evening the sun goes down over the water and the offshore islands.

It is an intimate, air-conditioned lounge for around 40 people, with low armchairs, a long curved bar and sports on the screens. The list covers cocktails, beer, wine and spirits, with light bites to go with them. It is a long way from George Town's bar scene, so it suits resort guests and anyone staying down this end of the island rather than a night out in the city.

Satellite opens daily from 4pm until midnight, and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. There is no live band at the moment. For a table, call the resort on +60 4 628 2888 (extension 2458).
