Terraço Sky Bar – La Sinfonía del Rey

Terraço Sky Bar sits on the 8th floor of La Sinfonía del Rey Hotel & Spa, a boutique hotel on Hang Dau Street at the northern tip of Hoan Kiem Lake. The open terrace wraps around a curved, canopied bar and looks down over the lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the trees along the shore, with the Old Quarter rooftops spreading out behind.

The design mixes East and West: angular lines, patterned tiles and wrought-iron rails, with the whole terrace meant to suggest a royal crown. The signature cocktails are each built around a piece of Hanoi's culture, alongside classics, beer and wine, and the snacks lean on local flavours.

It opens daily from 5pm to midnight, public holidays included. Happy hour runs from 5pm to 7pm with 30% off cocktails, beer and mixed drinks, which neatly covers sunset. A DJ plays on Fridays and there is live music on Saturdays from 8.30pm to 10.30pm, weather permitting. Tables can be reserved through the hotel's website, which is worth doing for a lake-edge seat at sunset.
