The Rooftop at Beach House Layan – Anantara Layan Phuket

The Rooftop sits on top of Beach House Layan, the all-day beach venue that Anantara Layan Phuket Resort opened in 2022 on quiet Layan Beach, on Phuket's north-west coast between Bang Tao and Nai Thon. It is three floors up rather than a tower bar, but the position does the work: a timber deck lined with a long reflecting pool and fire bowls, looking down over the Beach House's infinity pool and palms to the sand and out across the Andaman Sea, with the resort's villas lit up on the hill behind.

This is the evening, grown-up end of Beach House. The bar is set beneath a canopy at the back of the deck and turns out cocktails, wine and beer, with lounge sofas and low tables facing the water, and the sunset is the main event. Prices are those of a five-star resort.

The Rooftop is open daily from 5.30pm until midnight and welcomes visitors from outside the resort. For a front-row table at sunset, call the resort ahead.
