The Top Bar – À La Carte Danang Beach

The Top Bar is on the 24th floor, the top of À La Carte Danang Beach, the hotel on Vo Nguyen Giap facing My Khe beach. It has two spaces: a cosy indoor lounge around a central bar and an open terrace along the rail, next to the rooftop infinity pool that runs right to the edge of the building.

Looking east, the view runs along the long sweep of My Khe beach to the Son Tra peninsula; turn round and the lights of Da Nang city and the Han River bridges spread out behind. The bar serves cocktails, including the hotel's bright-blue À La Carte Special of white rum, crème de menthe, blue curaçao, pineapple and cream, along with light bites and a signature liquid-nitrogen ice cream.

The hotel lists the bar as open daily from 6.30am to midnight, so it doubles as a breakfast-with-a-view spot, but sunset and evening are the time to go. Dress is casual.
