Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastro Pub – Cape Sienna

Vanilla Sky is the rooftop bar of Cape Sienna Gourmet Hotel & Villas, which climbs the hillside on Nakalay Road at the southern end of Kamala Beach on Phuket's west coast, about 15 minutes north of Patong. The terrace sits on the top of the hotel and faces straight out over Kamala Bay: Rayee Beach and the headland on one side, the long curve of Kamala Beach on the other, and the Andaman Sea in between, which makes it one of the better sunset spots on this stretch of coast.

The hotel calls it a bar and gastro pub. The drinks list leans on creative craft cocktails, including smoky and molecular-style signatures, alongside craft beer on tap and wine, and the kitchen runs a charcoal Argentinian-style grill with modern pub plates and tapas for sharing. Seating is a mix of white lounge chairs and high tables along the glass balustrade, with a covered bar area at the back.

Vanilla Sky is open daily from 5pm until midnight. Arrive before sunset for a rail-side table; the hotel takes enquiries by phone.
