The Sora – Hotel Okura Manila

The Sora is the rooftop pool bar of Hotel Okura Manila, the Japanese luxury hotel within Newport World Resorts in Pasay, a few minutes from NAIA Terminal 3. Set around the hotel's rooftop swimming pool, it has an open bar pavilion, loungers and private cabanas, with views over the low-rise Pasay skyline towards Makati and the airport approach.

Hotel guests have it to themselves during the day; outside guests are welcome from 6pm, when the lights come on around the pool. The drinks run from signature cocktails such as a sake colada to wines, spirits and smoothies, and the kitchen sends out salads, nachos, ceviche, hand-tossed pizzas and the Okura burger.

It opens until 9pm Sunday to Thursday and until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Smart casual dress applies, and the bar is non-smoking. Reservations are encouraged via TableCheck, and the cabanas carry a minimum spend of PHP 10,000 with several days' advance booking.
